2022 DCC Local Markets

We're changing a few things up, while keeping the spirit of our markets the same. This year we're launching a massive promotional campaign to promote DCC Local Markets, the umbrella to our Summer Market, Christmas Market and Pop-Up Markets. The vendor application process for these markets will be handled using a single application for the whole year.

Summer Market (Formerly Farmers' & Artisans' Outdoor Market) - Presented by Mary Brown's Chicken

The Summer Market will be back for 2022! This market ended up being a great community gathering spot that allowed for safe gathering and vendor promotion while the community centre was closed to the public. This year, we're hoping to grow this market even more and we've made some changes based on your feedback.

Market Dates for 2022: June 2, 16, 30, July 14, 28, August 11, 25 (Subject to change)
Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Location: Dakota Fieldhouse Lot (Directional signage will be posted on each event day)

This event will continue to have various vendors with the possibility of food trucks and live entertainment. It's a great way to spend some time outside and support your local community!

Cancellation Policy: Payment will be processed a week prior to each of the listed market dates. If you need to cancel, please notify Colleen (colleen@dakotacc.com). Once payment has been processed, no refunds will be issued.

Christmas Market (Formerly Christmas Craft Sale)

This is our oldest and longest running market - over 30 years! Vendors from all over Manitoba set up and sell their wares during this 2-day weekend event in November.

Market Dates for 2022: Saturday, November 5 from 10.am. - 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 6 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Jonathan Toews Sportsplex

Cancellation Policy: If you are accepted as a vendor but can no longer attend, you will have until October 1, 2022 to notify us (colleen@dakotacc.com). We will issue a refund (minus a $25 administration fee.) After that date, no refunds will be issued.

Pop-Up Markets (New Type of Market)

Pop-Up Markets will do just that - pop up out of nowhere. These markets are going to be smaller in nature and will occur during larger events that take place at Dakota Community Centre. Location of the markets will vary depending on the event and will be communicated as each pop-up market is announced. To participate, simply check off the option in the application form and we'll inform you when these markets occur.

Cancellation Policy: A cancellation policy will be communicated for each pop-up market event.

The application is now an online form. Simply fill it out and it will automatically be submitted to us. You will also receive a copy of your application sent to your email. If you encounter any issues, please call Colleen at (204)254-1010 ext 214 for assistance.
