2010 Dakota Community Centre Fall registration is taking place for hockey, ringette,
basketball, indoor soccer, figure skating, karate, kung fu, tai chi on the
following dates:
Tuesday September 7, 2010: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Thursday September 9, 2010: 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Saturday September 11, 2010: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Boundaries:
You are allowed to register with the Dakota Community Centre if you are living within the
following boundaries: East of St. Mary’s Road, South of Nova Vista Drive (South side only), West of Seine River,
and North of the Perimeter Hwy.
Please note that Normand Park is in the Greendell boundary. Registration is only accepted from other community clubs if the program
is not offered there.
Dakota Community Centre accepts Visa, MasterCard, cheque, Interac, and cash.
Late registrations will be accepted on an availability basis only i.e.
if we have an appropriate number of players for each team and any
additions would make it unfair for the players who registered on time, your
registration will not be accepted.
There is a late registration fee of $50.00 per registrant.
What you Need to Know:
1. Pick up your registration form in the main entrance.
2. Proceed to the volunteer table to sign up for volunteering (*
coaches and managers see note below*).
3. Proceed to the sport you want to sign up for.
4. Pick up your raffle tickets.
5. Proceed to the cash registers for payment.
** To speed up your registration time, all Fall/Winter coaches and team
managers are asked to check in at the coaches/team managers table before
entering the registration area so we can check off your volunteer time.
Our volunteer program is an integral part of Dakota’s club success and we
cannot emphasize enough the importance of all parents signing up for a minimum
of four hours of volunteering per child per season (minimum of 8 hours per
family). Everyone’s time is very precious but take into account the many
hours your child’s coaches and team managers give to your child’s team. Their
time and talent is the backbone of our club and that gift to your children is
priceless.
Volunteer policy
All families are required to sign up for a volunteer position before
registering for any sport.
If a family member chooses to coach or manage a team sport, that volunteer
position covers both the spring and fall volunteering responsibilities for that
year.
A volunteer deposit fee of $100.00 per child per season, up to a maximum of
two children ($200.00) will be charged during both spring and winter
registration. (personal cheques, Visa or MasterCard will be accepted for the
volunteer fee) Please bring more than 1 cheque for registration as you must pay
your VOLUNTEER FEE separately from your SPORT FEES.
The volunteer fee will be cancelled and destroyed on completion of your
volunteer time between March 1st to September 30th for the Spring registration
and October 1st and February 28th for the Fall Registration.

We require more volunteers for the spring registration tables. Please

Registration Policy:
All players registering with the intention of trying out on the “Elite” teams will
be required to pay their registration fees at the Dakota Community Centre.
All fees, including past registration and late fees must be paid before being added to
teams or tryout lists.
Registrations done by neighbours, friends, etc. must be paid during normal registration hours
or they will be considered as late registrations and subject to late registration fee.
Refunds:
Program registration fee refunds will only be considered if requested 60 days of the
last registration date. All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administration fee to be withheld by
the Dakota Community Centre. For those registering for more than one sport, no refunds will be issued
due to schedule conflicts.
Please note that if you did not volunteer in the spring session, you must sign up at the volunteer tables for the fall
session. You must leave a cheque for $50.00 per child (up to a maximum of 2).
