General Information For Summer
Day Programs
Check-In: Students
will check in the morning camp
begins. Registered families
will be notified as to their
check-in time and group name
approximately one week prior to
the beginning of the camp.
To avoid disappointment, register
in advance due to limited
enrolment.
Medical Insurance:
Each student must have their own
medical insurance policy. A
full-time medical staff is on duty
each day with medical facilities
only minutes away.
What To Bring: All
students must bring their own
lunch. Canteen services will
be available. All
participants (goaltenders
included) must provide complete
hockey equipment. All staff
members will assist the students
in getting dressed daily. A
Dakota Development Camp souvenir
jersey will be provided to all
participants the first day of the
program. Personal belongings
should include off-ice training
clothing (sweats, shirt, shorts,
sport shoes, water bottle,
swimsuit and towel, soccer boots
and shin pads for those in soccer
camp).
Facilities: Dakota
Community Centre opened in 1996
and is a beautiful facility
containing 2 large ice arenas, a
large fully equipped gymnasium, a
large recreational room, 2 fully
equipped classrooms, weight
training room, outdoor water park,
and soccer field.
Pre & Post Drop Off:
All Dakota Development Camp weekly
programs will meet in the Dakota
Community Centre.
Supervision for students is
conveniently scheduled from 8:00am
- 5:00pm for the convenience of
working parents. Storage of
hockey equipment is available upon
request.
Absenteeism: If
students are unable to attend,
please inform us as soon as
possible by calling (204)
254-1010.
Group Changes: If
you wish to have your child
grouped with another child, we can
accommodate that change on the
first day of camp providing the
students are close to the same age
and ability.
Lost and Found:
Call Dakota Community Centre at
(204) 254-1010. Please
remember to label all clothing,
towels, individual pieces of
hockey equipment and lunch boxes.
Payment: Enrolment
is limited. Families are
urged to apply as soon as possible
as applications with payment are
accepted on a FIRST COME-FIRST
SERVE BASIS. All
applications must be accompanied
with payment in full or with a 50%
deposit and one additional post
dated cheque dated for June 1st,
2008. Interac, VISA, and
MASTERCARD are also payment
options. Make all cheques
payable to Dakota Community
Centre.
Refunds: Full
refunds will be given for
cancellations two weeks prior to
the start of camp. Please
note that a 10% administration fee
may be charged.
